With footage we shot in Palermo, Sicily in June ‘Imprint’ is the 3rd poem (in fact 4 poems in 1 film) from the LateLovePoems project.
‘Spring’ is the first of 30 films created here at Park6 with Poet Steve Griffiths to be launched on YouTube.

THE LATE LOVE POEMS FILM PROJECT
Steve’s performances of thirty of his poems are being filmed by Park6 in a range of settings, and will be uploaded to YouTube poem by poem on a weekly basis beginning in July 2015 and culminating with publication of the collection Late Love Poems by Cinnamon Press in January 2016, in time for Valentine’s. There will be a series of live performances in 2016.
The project will be supported by social media partners from the arts, libraries and other community networks to engage with a range of audiences, including people who might like to celebrate second marriages and relationships.
It’s a story of two young people who were together in the Seventies, went their separate ways, made their lives and had their families; and their coming together again in their mid-fifties. The poems carry a charged resonance between past and present. And they come back repeatedly to the idea of a lesson learned late in generosity.
An immediacy of profound physical and emotional celebration, of recovery of something that had been lost, gave wings to the experience of writing the poems.
Park6 have made a short promotional film for Targus.
Park6 have delivered a short film for Woodland Heritage that captures the excellent ‘Woodland to Workshop’ course they run twice a year near Hay-on-Wye.
Over the next 4 months Park6 will be working with Steve Griffiths to capture a series of his ‘Late Love Poems’. The poems and the subsequent films will form part of an ambitious project that will generate interest in his work leading up to the publication of his book by Cinnamon Press around Valentine’s Day 2016.
